FIFA World Cup 2026™ Team Base Camps
Kansas City has been selected to host three national teams as official Team Base Camps for FIFA World Cup 2026™ — with capacity to host up to four.
Serving as a “home away from home,” Team Base Camps provide elite training facilities, accommodations, and operational support where teams will train, rest, and prepare throughout the tournament. Kansas City’s regional footprint includes multiple premier venue options designed to meet the needs of the world’s top national programs.
Sporting KC Performance Center
The National Performance Center is a state-of-the-art training facility that serves as the home for Sporting Kansas City and a hub for soccer development in the United States. Opened in January 2018, it features five advanced soccer fields, a comprehensive sports performance lab, and the U.S. Soccer National Coaching Education Center, making it an ideal environment for elite player and coach development. During the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the facility will serve as Argentina’s training home base in Kansas City, KS.
Swope Soccer Village
Located within Kansas City’s historic Swope Park, is a world-class training complex featuring natural grass fields, synthetic turf fields, and comprehensive on-site support facilities. Since opening in 2007, the venue has hosted U.S. and international national teams, MLS and NWSL clubs, and elite global organizations. With a proven track record of supporting professional, collegiate, and youth competition, Swope Soccer Village delivers a turnkey, high-performance environment. During the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the facility will serve as England’s training home base in Kansas City, MO.
KC Current Training Center
The University of Kansas Health System Training Center, opened on June 22, 2022, is a state-of-the-art complex located in Riverside, MO, designed to provide athletes with world-class amenities and resources. Spanning over 17,000 square feet, the facility features two grass pitches and one artificial turf pitch, alongside elite weight and cardio training areas, a dedicated locker room, and health and wellness spaces. This $18 million investment underscores the team’s commitment to ensuring athletes have everything they need to excel and maintain their peak performance. During the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the facility will serve as Netherlands’s training home base in Kansas City, MO.
University of Kansas
Rock Chalk Park is a premier multi-sport facility located in Lawrence, Kansas, that opened in 2014. It features a state-of-the-art 2,500-seat soccer stadium recognized as one of the best in the nation, complete with extensive amenities for athletes, media, and fans. The facility gained notable recognition when the Kansas Jayhawks advanced to the NCAA tournament during its inaugural season. During the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the facility will serve as Algeria’s training home base in Lawrence, KS.
