OFFICIAL RULES 

KC2026 AND PURINA GIVEAWAY 

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. 

Eligibility: 

Participants must be a resident of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Iowa, or Arkansas, at least 18 years of age, and have an Instagram, Facebook or X account at the time of participation. KC2026 and Purina Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is void outside of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Arkansas, or where prohibited or restricted by law.

This Giveaway is sponsored by KC2026 and Nestle Purina PetCare Company (“Sponsor”). All employees, officers, directors and agents and their immediate families or any members of their households, regardless of relationship, of Sponsor or any advertising agency or other company involved with the design, production, execution or distribution of this Giveaway are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway or to win any prizes. You acknowledge that the Sweepstakes is in no way, sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, or X. You understand that you are providing your information to KC2026 and Nestle Purina PetCare Company, and not to Instagram, Meta, or X. The information you provide will only be used in the event that you are selected as a Sweepstakes winner. By participating, you agree to allow Sponsor to use your information for advertising, marketing, and other purposes. 

Any Giveaway entries received from an ineligible participant will be disqualified. By participating in this Giveaway, participants accept and agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final on all matters. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the rules of the Giveaway in any way at any time, subject to state or federal law. 

Giveaway Period: 

The Giveaway begins on June 22, 2025 at 12:01 a.m. and ends on July 11, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (“Giveaway Period”). All entries must be received and recorded by Sponsor during the Giveaway Period to be eligible. 

How To Enter: 

You can enter the Giveaway by posting a picture with your pet on Instagram, Facebook or X and tagging KC2026 (@fw26kansascity) and Nestle Puring Petcare Company @purina. The Giveaway is published on KC2026 and Nestle Purina PetCare Company’s Instagram, Facebook and X feeds. Participant’s profile must be set to “public.” All pictures must comply with all applicable content requirements for the social media site on which they are posted, and should not include any person other than the participant, profanity, are non-responsive, are threatening, harassing, or abusive in any way, or violate the rights of any third-party, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion. All entries must be received and recorded by Sponsor during the Giveaway Period, to be eligible. There is a limit of one entry per person. Duplicate entries will be rejected.  

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, misdirected, late, unsent, incomplete, illegible or unintelligible entries or for inaccurate entry information, whether caused by the participant or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Giveaway, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the transmittal of any entry or the processing of any function on the participant’s computer system. Participant must notify Sponsor of any changed contact information within the Giveaway Period to remain eligible to win based on entry information. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway; to be acting in violation of these rules; or to be acting with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or similar response methods will void all such entries submitted by such methods. 

Prizes and Selection of Winner: 

 Giveaway participants will enter for a chance to win the following prize package: 

  • KC2026 summer scarf 
  • KC2026 pet bandana 
  • KC2026 rally towel 
  • KC2026 stickers 
  • Purina premium water bowl 
  • Purina vouchers for treats 
  • Purina branded Owala water bottle.  

 (ARV of $75). 

The chances of winning depend on the number of entries received. No transfer, assignment, cash redemption or substitution of any prize is permitted, except by Sponsor due to prize availability and then with a prize of equal or greater value. 

One winner will be selected to win the prize package in a random drawing by July 15, 2025. Sponsor will notify the potential winner individually by DM on Instagram, Facebook or X. Winner may also be announced on Instagram, Facebook and X after being notified by DM. The potential winner must respond from the email account connected to the potential winner’s Instagram, Facebook or X account, confirming the winner’s identity and acceptance of these Official Rules, and providing all requested information,  including but not limited to his or her age, phone number and email address, via email to [email protected] within 48 hours of the notification of win. Winning a prize in this Giveaway is subject to the potential winner’s identification as holder of the Instagram, Facebook or X account used to enter and explicit acceptance of these Official Rules. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a potential winner, the potential winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the e-mail account governing the Instagram, Facebook or X account was opened. which may include but is not limited to the winner’s age, phone number and email address, via email within 48 hours of the notification of win. The winner may be required to satisfactorily complete an affidavit of eligibility showing compliance with these Official Rules, and sign a liability and publicity release, allowing Sponsor to use his or her information for advertising or other purposes. Failure to complete these forms may result in forfeiture of the prize. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will select an alternate potential winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. 

Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state or provincial, and local taxes and any expenses associated with any prizes. The Internal Revenue Service requires Form 1099-MISC to be issued and filed for any winner who received a prize/award if the annual aggregate is at least $600 or more. In the event the approximate retail value is deemed to exceed the Internal Revenue Service requirement, the winner must complete and submit a W-9 form to receive the prize. The winner is responsible for any income tax liability and should consult his/her tax advisor for the proper tax treatment of this income on his/her tax return. 

Modifications: 

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, terminate, or suspend this Giveaway should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt or impair the administration, security or fairness of the Giveaway. Sponsor is not responsible for any human or technological error that may occur in the processing of the Giveaway nor are they responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, communications line failure, theft or destruction of, unauthorized access to, delay in operation, transmission, or distribution of, or alteration of entries, whether caused by the sender, any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Giveaway, or otherwise. 

Release: 

By entering the Giveaway, participants fully release and hold harmless Sponsor KC2026 Nestle Purina PetCare Company, Instagram, Meta, X, and each of their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives, partners and agents from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Giveaway or with the acceptance, possession or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light).

Identification of Winners and Official Rules:
