KC2026 Taps Seasoned Security Expert for Key Planning and Operations Role

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 16, 2024) KC2026 has appointed Kyle Postell as Director of Safety & Security for FIFA World Cup 26™ Kansas City. Postell brings more than 13 years of experience with the U.S. Secret Service to the role, having led critical infrastructure protection efforts, conducted comprehensive vulnerability assessments and managed large-scale security operations for high-profile events, including the United Nations General Assembly. In addition, Postell has specialized experience in cybersecurity and explosives detection, further enhancing his ability to safeguard the upcoming global event. 

“Kyle’s extensive experience overseeing  safety operations for U.S. and international dignitaries at major events, both in the U.S. and abroad,  makes him an invaluable asset to the regional planning efforts for FIFA World Cup 26™,” said KC2026 CEO Pam Kramer. “His expertise in safeguarding critical infrastructure and his proven ability to collaborate  with local, state and federal agencies for more than 175 events will be vital to delivering a safe, seamless and best-in-class event.”  

Postell’s hiring follows the appointment of several key positions in recent weeks, including Director of Operations Lindsey Douglas, Director of Fan Festival and Events Mallory Cage, Director of Marketing Matt Smith and Social Media and Content Manager Kateri Hartman. Postell joined the staff in December.
