Investing in our Region

Hosting a successful FIFA World Cup 26™ requires our entire region working together to identify resources and solutions. The bi-state financial support we have received is a great example of the collaboration that sets our region apart. When we work together, we are unstoppable. To date, both states of Missouri and Kansas, the city of Kansas City, MO, and Johnson County, KS, have all contributed funding to support a safe, seamless, best-in-class experience. Kansas City civic leaders have also pledged private funding toward the event.  

This investment will help us deliver on our goal of maximizing the opportunity we have to create sustained and long-term impact for the region. In the coming months, we will be working to secure additional funding from other public partnerships, and the private sector via KC2026 Host City Supporter sponsorships and Champion packages.
