Kansas City Stadium (Arrowhead) – What To Expect on the 6 Match Days
This isn’t your typical KC game day – it will be unlike anything we’ve hosted before. Here are some differences you’ll notice:
- Permit access-only areas will be implemented on the 6 match days up to 7 hours prior to match time (more information below).
- Limited stadium parking must be purchased in advance, and several of the parking lots will be used for hospitality, security and event operations – limiting parking for spectators.
- ConnectKC26 Stadium Direct bus service will bring ticketed spectators to the stadium via park-and-ride bus operations.
- For many visitors, this will be their first time at the stadium.
Kansas City Stadium (Arrowhead) – Traffic Management Plan
To help streamline traffic movement on the 6 match days, the following traffic management plan will be in place up to 7 hours prior to match time.
What To Expect – Blue Ridge Cutoff
For the 6 match days, traffic movements will be restricted on Blue Ridge Cutoff between I-70 and Raytown Road.
- No left-hand-turns from Blue Ridge Cutoff once traffic management is in place.
- Two hours prior to match time (kickoff):
- Blue Ridge Cutoff northbound lanes close at Raytown Road. Vehicles on the east side of Blue Ridge Cutoff can exit using the northbound lanes
- Blue Ridge Cutoff southbound lanes remain open, but no left (eastbound) turns
- Kickoff through first half:
Blue Ridge Cutoff northbound lanes reopen - Halftime:
Blue Ridge Cutoff northbound lanes close to prepare for traffic leaving the stadium
Neighborhood Permit Access
On the 6 match days, KC2026 is implementing a temporary residential access permit program for the neighborhood between Blue Ridge Cutoff and Ditzler Avenue and East 43rd Street to East 44th Street. This program is designed to manage the increase in tournament traffic and help residents maintain parking access.
Kansas City will host matches on June 16, 20, 25, 27 and on July 3 and 11, 2026. On those days, up to four hours before match time (match times are listed below), a permit will be required for vehicle access to the neighborhood between Blue Ridge Cutoff and Ditzler Avenue and East 43rd Street to East 44th Street. There will be no access into or out of the neighborhood from Blue Ridge Cutoff.
Permits are free of charge and will be available for pickup at Destiny Life Center located at 4207 Blue Ridge Cutoff on the following days:
- Wednesday, May 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Tuesday, June 2, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
