Partnership and Rights Marketing Agency

KC2026 is seeking an experienced sponsorship and rights marketing agency to develop and implement the plan to maximize the value of our Host City commercial rights.  Prospective partners should demonstrate a deep understanding of the regional and national sponsorship marketing landscape, and the sponsorship marketing decision process.  The partner must be able to operate on a compressed timeline and have strong relationships to regional businesses. The scope of work includes recommending structure and levels of sponsorship, development of sponsorship packages and potential activation programs, prospecting, pipeline management, negotiation and sales; additionally, the selected firm will work with KC2026 on fulfillment and activation.  As our goal is to advance the social welfare, health and economic interest of the greater Kansas City metropolitan area and the surrounding region, KC2026 will work to provide procurement opportunities for regional and diverse-owned suppliers when practical, seeking qualified regional and diverse-owned vendors that fit our needs and standards. Please submit proposals and credentials to kansascityfwc26@sportkc.org by May 21, 2024 for consideration, and include “Partnership Agency Proposal” in the subject line of the email.     Recommend structure for the Host City Local Supporter Program including:

    • Levels, Designations and associated assets
    • Category and Valuation Strategy
      • Prioritization
      • Number of opportunities in all levels
      • Value by category
    • Terms (multi-year, cash flow considerations)
    • Activation requirements

    Lead the ideation and development of assets for inclusion in HC Local Supporter Packages, reflecting a deep understanding of the Host City rights and the market demand for traditional and emerging assets:

    • IP (Marks, logos, designations)
    • Event sponsorship and promotion
      • Event venue brand exposure/promotion
        • Signage
        • Video/Audio
        • Event printed/distributed materials
        • Event digital support (maps, schedule, etc.)
      • Event venue brand activation opportunity
        • Display, sampling, database collection, fan experience
        • Hospitality and tickets
      • Out of venue promotion and marketing
        • Paid Media
        • Earned Media
        • Printed and digital promotion
    • Revenue opportunity (VIK or provider guarantee)
    • Hospitality/Tickets
    • Licensed merchandise
    • Other Host City media exposure (Social, digital, earned media, paid media)
    • Other Host City programming (podcasts, emerging technologies, app, speakers bureau, etc.)

    Prospecting, pipeline management, negotiation and sales

    • Lead the cultivation, negotiation and sales process for HC Local Supporters including:
      • Evaluate current KC2026 pipeline and FIFA CA restrictions and opportunities
      • Develop additional prospect list
      • Cultivate relationships and develop prospect-specific proposals that reflect insight to the prospective client and deliver value to KC2026
      • Report progress
